INTRODUCING NAMAA

SERVING PALESTINIAN FARMERS

At NAMAA for Agricultural Development, our focus is on people, land, and sustainable agricultural growth. We believe that agriculture is deeply rooted in the identity, heritage, and resilience of Palestinian communities. This belief is reflected in our name, NAMAA, which symbolizes growth, prosperity, and sustainable development. Our work is dedicated to supporting farmers and rural communities while preserving the richness and diversity of Palestinian agricultural landscapes.

We adopt and apply a human rights-based approach in the design and implementation of our programs, which range from agricultural land development and water resource interventions to rural women’s economic empowerment, youth engagement, and agricultural development initiatives grounded in sustainable and climate-resilient practices.

Our development approach aims to improve livelihoods and contribute to safe, dignified, and resilient communities where human well-being remains the highest priority. We are committed to supporting small-scale farmers and vulnerable groups without discrimination based on political, religious, or social considerations, while promoting gender equality and equal opportunities for all.

In parallel, NAMAA works to influence policies and development priorities that impact rural and marginalized communities. We advocate for improved access to food, sustainable resource management, and inclusive agricultural development at both national and international levels. We believe that equitable access to natural resources and sustainable food systems is essential for reducing poverty and creating lasting development opportunities.

NAMAA for Agricultural Development is a Palestinian civil society organization dedicated to strengthening the capacities of Palestinian farmers and rural communities, enabling them to access resources, improve productivity, and enhance their economic resilience.

We focus on supporting the rights of Palestinian communities to sustainable development, food security, and a decent quality of life on their land. Our work is guided by internationally recognized human rights principles and development standards that promote dignity, equity, participation, and social justice for all.

VISION AND MISSION

ELIMINATING POVERTY IS POSSIBLE

OUR MISSION

To develop sustainable solutions that contribute to reducing poverty and addressing its root causes by strengthening the resilience of communities, empowering farmers and marginalized groups, promoting inclusive development, and enhancing access to food, natural resources, and economic opportunities as fundamental rights for all.

OUR VISION

Inspired by the belief that poverty can be overcome, we aspire to a prosperous Palestinian society where communities enjoy food security, sustainable livelihoods, equitable access to resources, and the opportunity to live with dignity, resilience, and hope for future generations.

COMMITTED TO OUR VALUES

THE FUTURE WE BELIEVE IN

At NAMAA for Agricultural Development, our work is guided by a set of core values that shape our vision, decisions, and actions. These values inspire our efforts to promote sustainable agricultural development, strengthen communities, and contribute to a more resilient and prosperous future.

Transparency and openness

NAMAA is committed to transparency, openness, and accountability in all aspects of its work. We consider these principles essential to building trust and maintaining strong relationships with farmers, communities, partners, and stakeholders at both the local and international levels.

Equality and Equal Opportunities

NAMAA believes that sustainable development can only be achieved when all people enjoy equal rights and opportunities, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, social background, or any other form of discrimination. We are committed to fostering inclusive communities where everyone has the opportunity to contribute, grow, and succeed.

Social Justice

NAMAA strives for a society where all people have equitable access to food, resources, opportunities, and sustainable livelihoods. We believe that addressing poverty, exclusion, and inequality requires tackling their root causes and promoting fair and inclusive development for all members of society.

Adaptability

NAMAA recognizes the importance of adapting to social, economic, and environmental changes. We continuously develop innovative and resilient approaches that enable communities and farmers to respond effectively to emerging challenges, including climate change and evolving development needs.

Partnership

NAMAA values partnerships at the local, regional, and international levels as essential tools for knowledge exchange, innovation, and sustainable development. Through collaboration, we strengthen collective efforts to support communities, advance agricultural development, and create lasting positive impact.
